Nazareth came and left Bathurst and put on a great show... no doubt about it. 3100 screaming people under a giant tent and an amazing and electric atmosphere. There was one thing missing. A little love back from Nazareth.
In the past, (including this year) bands like Trooper, Loverboy and Streetheart would take pictures and sign autographs for their fans. Sometimes even party it up in the tent with everyone. I remember the Stampeders signing a stack of LPs one fan brought in from his vintage collection. So, Where was Nazareth during all this? Well, they were cocooned in their trailer away from their adoring public. No autographs, no pictures, no acknowledgement of the people who helped make them famous. Very sad.
It only reminds me of Tony Bennett's great line... "Treat every show as if it's your last, and take nothing for granted".
Improv

Chris Grant and I had so much fun last Saturday with the Chaleur Improv League. None of us... had ever done Improv before but it was so much fun. Plus we were able to raise money to the MS Society and The Bathurst Women's Shelter. A Huge thanks to Francois Foulem for organizing the event... as well as Denis Foulem, Cedric Comeau, Jeff (Jamal) Poirier, David Doucet and Nathan Dimitroff.

Had a chance to meet Ryan Tedder from One Republic recently during the taping of Live With Regis & Kelly. In case you don't know of Ryan he's written big hits for Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Leona Lewis & Rihanna to name a few. The show was really well done and I came away very impressed with the chemistry on statge between Regis & Kelly, especially Kelly Ripa who has a wicked sense of humor and really worked the crowd well. A couple pics with Ryan Tedder & i discussing songwriting & one of Regis cooling off in the heat here. Enjoy

Nadia Hache Off To Taylor Swift !

What a pleasure it was recently to meet 12 year old Nadia Hache. Nadia suffers from cancer and was hoping to get a chance to see Taylor Swift and Max was able to get her a couple tickets. Here's Nadia & her sister Cynthia with yours truly during their recent visit. Thanks Nadia for being a true inspiration.
