My Crossfit Bathurst Family
Last year I was approached by J9 (Janine Daigle) and asked if I was interested in joining the Crossfit gym. I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure what Crossfit Bathurst was all about. One year later, it's been one of the best decisions I've made. My first concern was whether I would fit in: Let's face it, some of these Crossfit athletes look like tanks. Tank or no tank, there are various Crossfitters all at different levels. But the best part is they are all one big family eager to help and encourage you every step of the way. As soon as you walk in the gym you notice a positive vibe and are greeted by the friendliest humans on the planet.
Have I noticed any difference? Hells yeah. Besides the glances from ladies (ok I kid about that... well maybe), I've noticed I've improved my strength in just about everything. I've lost weight, I changed my diet a little, and although I am still gassed at the end of a WOD workout... it's always a great feeling finishing the hour session and knowing I am getting healthier.
What are the trainers like? Ok, I don't want to sound corny or mushy, but they are all AMAZING. Heck, if they can put up with my antics, they gotta be good. The importance of having someone steer you in the right direction is very significant. Crossfit Bathurst owner Janine Daigle has been thoughtful, understanding, patient and super helpful through my development. Plus she's always cracking a joke (usually at my expense, which is awesome).
I would recommend Crossfit Bathurst to anyone. It's worth a try... I did, and it was the best decision I made!
