Thank You Chris
I came in early this morning, turned on my computer and without hesitation the first thing I opened was my "Chris" folder on my desktop. Working alongside Chris Grant, has been easily my most enjoyable four years in radio. Inside this folder are wonderful memories. So I reminisced a little, listening to four years of audio we shared from "Christopher the Magnificent", to "Chris 101", to a countless number of song parodies. The Grand Champion is still my fave. Did we really do all this? What were we thinking? So, then the realization, I am not only losing a great co-worker, but more importantly an amazing friend.
I remember meeting Chris at Tim Horton's on St. Peter the moment he first got to Bathurst four years ago. After the obvious height jokes were said, we instantly discussed everything from music, to our disgust with the Toronto Maple Leafs not making the Playoffs. I guess somethings never change.
So, on this Friday August 10, 2012, with mixed emotions we bid a farewell and a salute to our friend Chris Grant. You see, Chris will joke about his height, and his small stature, but truth be told, I think he is one of the "biggest" people I know. In his thoughtfulness, humour, and friendship, he is a "big personality" who I've been blessed to work alongside for four years.
Thank You Chris, you are now Peterborough's problem... hahahaha... I couldn't help it.
In the famous words of the great entertainer Bob Hope. "Thanks for the Memories".
Your friend for life,
