  • BOIL ORDER ADVISORY for the West and North sections of the City of Bathurst is NO LONGER IN EFFECT

    **As of this moment, the boil order advisory is NO LONGER IN EFFECT for the areas previously identified. Thank you for patience and cooperation during this process** The City of Bathurst informs residents of West Bathurst of BOIL ORDER ADVISORY for the West and North sections of the City. This was caused by a mechanical failure with components of our pumping system. Crews are presently working on the issue. It will be in effect until further notice and water destined for consumption will need to be held at a rolling boil for 1 minute. IMPACTED AREAS INCLUDE: St. Peter Avenue, west of Veterans Bridge, College Street, University Avenue area, Ste Anne Street area, all areas west and north of Ste Anne Street. Residents may also see turbidity in the water. It is advised to refrain from washing laundry and to periodically check your water quality by running COLD WATER for 10-15 minutes to verify if the water has cleared up. The City of Bathurst regrets any inconvenience this may cause
  • BOIL WATER ADVISORY - BERESFORD AREA is now lifted

    **The water boil advisory that was in effect in the Beresford sector is now lifted. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to boil the water for 1 minute before consuming it. The Town of Belle-Baie would like to thank you for your collaboration and your patience** The Town of Belle-Baie advises its residents and businesses in the ENTIRE BERESFORD SECTOR that all water intended for human consumption, the preparation of infant formula and juices, the making of ice cubes, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking, and dental hygiene must be boiled continuously FOR ONE MINUTE. It is not necessary to boil water used for other domestic purposes. This advisory is in effect until further notice and is issued as a precautionary measure. The Town of Belle-Baie apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause

Bingo cards are $10 each and can be found in most convenience stores in the Chaleur region. $1 from every book sold goes towards the Leon’s Lucky Ball, which is calculated the day after the bingo, once all sales are tabulated. Rules: 1. Winning cards must be verified before the game is closed. 2. New bingo cards will be available Wednesday afternoons. 3. Bingo cards are only valid for the week they are purchased. 4. When a winner calls in claiming a “win”, the number they won on will be the last number called. 5. In the event of cancellation, cards will be played the following week. 6. Games will be played with corresponding color announced before each game. 7. Caller will call the numbers in 16 second intervals. 8. Winners will call 506-548-8851. 9. Cards are verified by reading the number in the free space. If phone line is busy, keep calling since there may be multiple winners. 10. Once the game is announced closed, there will be no more cards accepted for verification. 11. In the event of multiple winners, prize amount for the game will be divided equally. The minimum prize will be $25. 12. Card sales will stop as soon as the bingo starts at 7PM. 13. Playing on the internet will result in a delay. It’s advised to play on the radio.
