The union representing about 800 striking nuclear scientists and engineers at Candu Energy says wages and seniority are the main issues in the dispute.    

 Workers at reactors in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick went on strike this morning.    

Candu's reactors supply nearly half of Ontario's electricity and 16 per cent of Canada's overall electricity requirements, but it's not clear how the job action will affect operations.
