Investigators in Saint John do not think a brazen daylight murder in the city's south end is tied to organized crime or any gang activity.
31 year old Michael Thomas Schimpf was shot and killed on Saturday near the Bacchus clubhouse.
The 50 year old local president, Matthew Thomas Foley, has been charged with second-degree murder.
The motorcycle club is suspected of being a front for the Hells Angels in Atlantic Canada.
Police Cheif Bill Reid says though the victim and accused knew each other, the victim was not associated with club and does not appear to have any working relationship with it.
The investigation is on-going
