Seatbelts save lives. We've heard it a thousand times and thanks to the safety straps and air bags nobody suffered life-threatening injuries as the result of a head-on crash in P.E.I. yesterday.
RCMP say the accident happened on the Trans-Canada Highway when a PEI SUV crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a car from New Brunswick.
None of the four adults or two children in the vehicles suffered life-threatening injuries, though five were taken to hospital.
Police are still investigating and so far haven't laid any charges, but did say it's another shining example of how important the proper use of seatbelts and air bags can be
