Three new ones this week including what very well could be the biggest star collaboration since Madonna & Justin Timberlake !
Lady Gaga/Beyonce-Telephone : I'm really not sure how these 2 diva superstars were both able to fit their heads through the studio door but they managed to do it and thank goodness for that. This is another track off The Fame Monster release. I know, Lady Gaga & Beyonce !!! it's just too much to take, I need to pick up the telephone and call someone about this, see what I did there with the phone thing.... yeah.
Jason Derulo- In My Head: In case you were ever wondering what this Beluga Heights stuff was all about, this actually refers to Jason Derulo's record label, the same label that will be dropping his debut self titled CD on March 2nd. Bono from U2 said in a past interview that it's amazing how artists in the rap/hiphop genre actually promote their record labels websites etc in their songs. It really is a brilliant way to market music & Jason Derulo is doing it again on this one, & yes- Beluga Heights is in my head, guess self-promotion really does work !
Jessica Loren- Lonely : This 17 year old "Indie" artist is out of Montreal and her debut CD Lavender Walls is now available on iTUNES, as is her first single Lonely- right here on Max 104.9 !

A couple of new ones this week including the debut of a potential Canadian superstar !
K'naan- Wavin Flag: This Somali Canadian Hip Hop artist is on the verge of making it big with his second cd release Troubadour which is set for release this Tuesday. The CD will feature such well known artists as Kirk Hammett; YES THE Kirk Hamett of Metallica fame ! also Adam Levine from Maroon 5 & Mos Def amongst others. Good timing on this one too with the Olympics going on. If you are wondering about the pronounciation of the name, check this link Cool Tune !
Train- Soul Sister : This one has been doing good things on our Seacrest Countdown for quite awhile and has now found a home amongst the airwaves here at Max. This tune is off the bands 5th cd Save Me San Francisco, their first in 3 years.

Back with three new ones this week including American Idol's runner up from last season !
Adam Lambert- Whataya Want From Me: After placing second on AI last year this dynamic performer has been the talk of the music business & has created controversey along the way. Any way you look at it Adam Lambert is definitely succeeding in staying in the press. Kris Allen is doing pretty good too without the controversey.This track was co-written by Pink so ya know it's gonna be good. For Your Entertainment indeed !
Stereos- Turn It Up: After playing a showcase during Canadian Music week, this Edmonton 5 piece were taken into a room and told they were going to be superstars. Heck, even Gene Simmons was there. Yes, THE Gene Simmons, the guy that blows Fire with the tongue & make up etc. Anyhoo, back to Stereos
, this is the third single from their debut cd, so just do what they tell you to and Turn It Up !
Marianas Trench- Beside You: Another one from the Masterpiece Theatre CD, these guys rock. In fact out of all the young bands in Canada I think they are one of the few that actually get what being a rock band means (whatever happened to those days?) & have the most potential to last beyond the 2 hit single thing. Time will tell.
